The New York Historical Society recently opened after a $65 million renovation, which now includes the DiMenna Children’s History Museum, the first children’s history museum, which not only targets the youngest visitors but also focuses on historical figures when they were children themselves.

As Animation Director, I animated the kids’ games in the Kids’ Room, where kids can explore and interact with the website.

After working on the animation in this episode, FOX canceled Running Wilde and pulled the last four episodes, so I was not sure if it would ever air. Then its sister network, FX, picked up the episodes and is now airing them on Fridays in May at 11pm EST.

In this episode, Emmy thinks Steve has abused his friendship with Migo, and sends Migo off to pursue his dream of painting. Steve, lost without Migo, decides to help Emmy with one of her causes, illegal immigration. But Steve accidentally supports the wrong side.

I was recently hired by Comodo.tv to create a dry-erase marker video illustrating how to protect your computer from viruses (The Good, The Bad, & The Unknown). After talking to the director, I came up with a Western theme for the video.

(Yes, that’s my hand drawing throughout the video.)

I produced storyboards for Bubble Guppies, a new interactive show that teaches kids about a wide range of topics, where kids learn about science, math, literacy, and more in this preschool musical comedy set in an aquarium-inspired underwater classroom. Set within a 3D CGI world, the show teaches and models school-readiness skills through songs, dances, and lots of laughs.

Here is a screenshot of some animation I produced for the now canceled Will Arnette/ Keri Russell sitcom Running Wilde. So, I can leak only the image, since it might one day resurface on another network.

I was lead designer and animator (which means I did everything besides sound) on this first of a series of web-mercials for a new mobile app by Cellebrite called ‘CelleShare,’ which brings all of your social feeds (status updates, tweets, shared albums) directly to your mobile phone.

I started to work on MTV’s Beavis and Butt-head shortly after Doug wrapped up. Created by Mike Judge, the show centered on Beavis and Butt-head (both voiced by Judge), who lived in the town of Highland, Texas. Mixed within each episode were segments in which they watched music videos and provided commentary improvised by Judge. I produced storyboards, layouts and animated the famous ‘Beavis and Butt-head dance’ (seen when they watched videos) that was featured on both the television show and feature film.

I started as a storyboard artist on the second animated series of 4Kids TV’sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (a fictional team of four anthropomorphic turtles, who were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei in the art of ninjutsu and named after four Renaissance artists) and moved up to become the storyboard supervisor for a few years.

I was one of two storyboard artists for this pilot episode.

My first professional animation job was on Doug, a very popular kids’ show, where I produced props, layouts, storyboards, and promotional materials for the show. The series takes place in the fictitious town of Bluffington (where Doug Funnie and his family have moved from Bloatsburg) and deals with the life of the title character, grade-schooler and diarist Doug Funnie.

Originally on Nickelodeon and then later on Disney, I worked on both versions.

I produced Flash animated storyboards for a few sequences (including the China episode, depicting the building of The Great Wall) for the History Channel‘s popular series, Engineering an Empire, a program that explores the engineering and/or architectural feats that were characteristic of some of the greatest societies on this planet.

I produced storyboards for several episodes of Nick Jr.’s Pinky Dinky Doo (back in the day, when we still actually drew on paper), an animated series that follows Pinky Dinky Doo, a pink-haired girl with a stupendous imagination, and supports critical early literacy skills. The program is designed to promote reading success by giving preschoolers tools to create their own stories, equipping them to become readers and writers.

I produced Flash storyboards and animatics for a few episodes of Nick Jr.’s The Wonder Pets. The animation style used to create The Wonder Pets is called “photo-puppetry”, and was created for the series to allow animators to manipulate photographs of real animals. It also uses drawn objects (not characters), so the total presentation could be considered animated mixed-media. It also won an Emmy Award in 2008 for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition.
